Via:goodreads Verdict: 2.5/5 stars (this is not a final verdict ) Diclaimer

I must tell you this is the genuine words for the Neil Gaiman’s work ”AMERICAN GODS”.This review contains some of the strong words and criticized as much as possible. The reason of the reviews to be honest ,so that even the non-readers who wants to give book a try,the reviews tells them that the book worth it or not. If there’s any point(s) you did’nt like… just keep that to your self, untill and unless you are Neil Gaiman.

I selected Neil Gaiman because of the aura of him. And that I selected his most known work ”American Gods”. What to say… Lets begin the review.

What I say is, a town isn’t a town without a bookstore. It may call itself a town, but unless it’s got a bookstore, it knows it’s not foolin’ a soul.

Firstly the atmosphere is not clear at all of the book. I read the first 100 pages and then I am just not clear of what is happening. So I have decided to read it patiently . I know, you should give some time to read through the eyes of writer. But still I have completed it and he can’t clear my mind on this book. Whats it is about ? Its something type of Murakami and Coelho’s work. You know self inventing type. Fyi I don’t like the self inventing type of books I don’t think the Murakami’s works and Neil Gaiman’s works are the part of litrature . They are written for one’s own satisfaction. I know there’s lot of fan following of these writers . But I always write what I feel On that base . The book is so frustating as protagonist Shadow is confusing and the story is so motiveless . For the character part there are lot of them. The voices are not clearand difrrentiable at all . Characters are damn confusing and you can’t imagine any one of them . The writing is ordinary as there’s nothing special and unique done with it. The golden rule of writing is ”Showing ” not ”Telling” . The book is full of”Tellings” . I don’t know if its the uniqueness of the writer, then he failed in making an intresting and intriguing book. For example the books is full of ”he said”. ”he asked”. Like that completion phrases. The name of the ”so called gods” are not helping in making the book any easier to grasp, but by making it most difficult . For one God there are so many many refrence names are there…and without telling them . It’s upto your knowledge and wisdom to make you to enlighten the scene. There’s another flaw in numbers of characters. There’s sudden introduction of them and then you get to know that ” this character is also there?” ”I DID’NT KNOW THAT!” I must say the plot is really good. There is no fault in that. But the story could be better than this. There’s also ”A coin magic trick”. I just don’t get it .Why? And writer wants you to accept it as the classic signature style of the character. As I said ‘WANTS TO’. I just don’t know why every character is so obssesed with it. It’s like the whole story revolve around this useless magic trick.

VERDICT:- 3/5 (recommended to read full post as I don’t blog in conventional way .The final verdict can be anywhere…)

PLEASE DON’T LEAVE THE PAGE BY JUST SEEING THE VERDICT.SOMETIMES I WILL BE CONTRIDICTORY.Afterall I am just a human.(untill now !who knows ,what I’ll be when I evolve)

So sit back ,relax ,and enjoy the veiws .I hope you’ll find my reviews entertaining and sometimes I collide with your visions on the book. And trut me its good to know that you are not alone having same views.

Again today I try to cover this book in every aspect . Tried.

I would have come for you. And if I couldn’t walk, I’d crawl to you, and no matter how broken we were, we’d fight our way out together-knives drawn, pistols blazing. Because that’s what we do. We never stop fighting.

The characters are same as its in previous part Six Of Crows. But the depth of the characters are more astounding and vivid .As expected by Leigh Bardugo. The story revolved around the six characters and you can differentiate the voices of each one of them. This makes the book fast pase. I must say the writing of characters and developing them are the most difficult thing to do in writing. But Leigh just done it so easily that no one can forget any of the six characters. They are like in It .The characters stays with you through out the story as well as through out your life(worthless, if you hate reading). And here it goes. I just compared the characters to Stephen King’s characters developement who is the best character producer and makes them imortal.By this you can get the idea of characters creation by Leigh. You can have favorite but for every one it will be different. As you are choosing from the six best written characters.

The book sets in Fantasy world of Geisha, who are suppose to be healer through magic. But there’s a compound which makes them to be something like Faulty and makes them insane. This is the book’s one of the purpose. There are basically Six purposses in this book and no one clashes with each other but binded by each other and makes the reader to emerse groundly with it to know about each and every purpose to fullfill.

As you guessed by this. The book gives very magical and curious feeling .The writing and clear characters makes the book easy to grasp and the again every thing is happening in front of your eyes ,in your room. You don’t really remember like you are reading and this makes the book to hold you.

The writing pattern is same as the SIX OF CROWS.

The plot is very much covered in the six of crows reviews. As it’s a conclussion part for SoC.I am not saying that it just have the conclussion but its mostly is.As there’s something happens in the end part of six of crows and for that this book takes place. This six of them again plots a masterplan and fails and by failing you could get the idea if you are familiar with Leigh’s writing. This is here a master stroke of plot twist. But there’s a flaw in this part by plot twist I did’nt satisfied as the six of crows plot twist(s).In the end the plot is so badass and unique in its own as metaphorically like Harry Potter.Genuine writing and You did’nt read something like this .Atleast I did’nt.

If you know the plot and story like this please share and suggest me in the comments below.I really needed books and story like this .It’ll be nice if they are really limited logies.

(I also don’t think its a word )

By logies I mean dualogy or trilogy.

I hope I get many suggestions…

(Book Review)The Goldfinch. by Donna Tartt

Writer:Donna Tartt Book Length:771(but way longer) GENRE:LIFESTYLE,CONTEMPERORY,FICTION. Verdict:-Don’t be RESTLESS

Let’s put aside the fact ,that this book won Pulitzer Prize.

#not recommended for any reader .Untill and unless you want to read.Read . Like for me I want to read everything ever written.#I know its impossiblE#InYourFaceHaters. As I always say Put your humour glasses on and just enjoy. I know it’s quite late for a blog and the exams were ended in last of december. But the reason behind it is I have to complete the Goldfinch and as you’ve know that it’s not a easy book as the length ,it’s a giant one.I have read lord of the rings and It .But this book is more lengthy. Why I am saying that is because that the font size is regular and the size(length*breadth)length of the book is large. Main reason behind why It’s a difficult and long for me is .As you’ve known by now what I want to say here. So why don’t we start what you are here for.??? Get satated with the Review. [Book Review] Doctor Sleep. by Stephen King

Sorry for the late review ,I was really busy due to the test was going on in my college.

Without wasting much time ,I come to the main point Book review hoooooooorrraayy.

    Author: Stephen King

this book more fantasy than horror.

    Book Length:492

    Book Rating:3/5

    Not recommended especially for horror.

    Book Desciption:

Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals.

On highways across America, a tribe of people called The True Knot travel in search of sustenance. They look harmless – mostly old, lots of polyester, and married to their RVs. But as Dan Torrance knows, and spunky 12-year-old Abra Stone learns, The True Knot are quasi-immortal, living off the “steam” that children with the “shining” produce when they are slowly tortured to death.

Haunted by the inhabitants of the Overlook Hotel where he spent one horrific childhood year, Dan has been drifting for decades, desperate to shed his father’s legacy of despair, alcoholism, and violence. Finally, he settles in a New Hampshire town, an AA community that sustains him, and a job at a nursing home where his remnant “shining” power provides the crucial final comfort to the dying. Aided by a prescient cat, he becomes “Doctor Sleep.”

Then Dan meets the evanescent Abra Stone, and it is her spectacular gift, the brightest shining ever seen, that reignites Dan’s own demons and summons him to a battle for Abra’s soul and survival. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon .

Firstly the negative points of the book.

Cons: The books has really slow start .You always gets distracted like it’s never gonna happen.

    Second i don’t know if it’s a con

People buy stephen king’s work basically for the horror and chills .

As the tag line of this books says[The Shining book 2 ]people gets distracted or I say cheated as shining we all know it’s really a spooky book or I say creepy .

The book is more magical mystery than horror.

In this book the shining is used with it’s limits.

    There’s only 2 cons in this .

After all its written by Stephen king.

Pros: As I mentioned in the start , the book is really slow but the book is so interesting that you never get bored of it.

If the book has interesting middle part than book is GOOD.

This book has very high gripping power.

There are some scenes at where the spookiness comes into action but you know what’s gonna happen and they are not that powerfull at all.

At last the book is good sequel and it is recommended for autumn reads.

The book has really vivid charecter display really .If you also learn from reading I must say you should give this book a try.I recommend all s.k books for charecter devlopment.

#note:I suggest all the readers to read this first than the dark tower series ,as this book tells about The Shining , and The Dark Tower series is fully based on the use of the shining.

The book is so balanced but i must say if you read it than it’s Good, but if you did’nt than it’s also Good.

    Thankyou for checking my blog.
